Fixes for Tux Typing install, startup, sound and display problems.
Every Tux Typing problem fits in six buckets: it will not start, something is silent, the keyboard misbehaves, it runs badly, a word list misbehaves, or Windows argues about the installer. “This app can’t run on your PC,” “Windows protected your PC,” a publisher warning — modern Windows greets a 2010s-era unsigned installer with a wall of caution. Some of that caution is healthy. Here is how to read each prompt, when to proceed, and when to walk away. “Windows protected your PC” (SmartScreen) This appears…
Tux Typing’s display options predate today’s screens, so its window behavior surprises people: tiny on a 4K monitor, stretched on a wide one, or stuck at one size.
